Et tu, Richardson?
This caught me completely by surprise.
I mean, hey, he did have Bill watch the Superbowl with him at the Governor's Mansion and he's been close with the Clintons from the beginning.
I can understand that he might feel Obama is the better candidate, but for God's sake, at least wait for Pennsylvania to come and go. I suppose the fact that New Mexico chose Clinton as their Candidate of Choice is irrelevant - after all, as an elected Chief Executive himself, Richardson probably knows more about what really matters to New Mexico than his constituents do.
...and what really matters is ensuring his political future. I'm sure it's awfully lonely being a Governor after having been Ambassador to the UN and other cool jobs that are low on the accountability scale and high on the coolness factor.
I have a feeling this will net Richardson about as much good will as it did Brutus in Julius Caesar.
Maybe when this is all over Horatio Sands will play him in the movie.
